General Description
Custom builder Ted Elliott did a superb job! The hull, deck, and superstructure are "cold-molded" plywood, bronze screwed and glued, then covered with thick fiberglass. This yields a light strong structure that has the added benefit of that very cozy "wood boat feeling."
The vessel has a delightful living area, as well as a very generous enclosed pilothouse. Few of these excellent yachts come on the market!
Actual Condition
It is reported that while at its mooring this vessel partially sank 3/4 of the way up to the flybridge. It appears that a thru-hull fitting, without a hose connection, caused the sinking. It appears that the opening for the thru-hull fitting on the outside of the hull was located approximately 3" above the normal floating waterline.

Any significant additional weight onboard would allow water to free flow through the approximately 1" diameter fitting into the engine compartment. The two Cummins QSC 8.3 493 hp 6-cylinder diesel engines, which were recently installed in the vessel, reportedly had less than 2 hours on them.

They were observed to have been totally submerged. We are told (but not confirmed) that they were preserved and the shop was able to get one of them running. The other one might be able to be repaired. Both are currently out of the boat and in storage at the yard. The port and starboard propeller shafts had been removed and the packing glands blocked off with 5/8" plywood and sealant because rebuilt shafts were going to be installed.
The vessel suffered structural damage on the port side deck at the transom, where the aft cleat had torn off, along with a section of deck. The port side deck will require repairs at the aft 3" and reinstallation of a new cleat.
* Please inspect carefully for further damage before bidding on the boat.
