The Montego proved to be a very successful model for Carver throughout its eight year production run ('86-'93). The wide 10' beam and intelligent design allowed for an amazing amount of living and storage space packed into the 27' hull. The salon offers abundant seating with a unique circular dinette/settee and circular table that converts into a double forward berth. The fully equipped galley, midship to port, is ideal for preparing everything from cockpit snacks to a complete gourmet meal. The spacious head, midcabin to starboard, has generous counter and storage space, electric toilet and wand shower. The head has dual access from the salon and from the midcabin. The spacious midcabin is just aft, to starboard, of the head. The private companionway to the midcabin has stand-up room to change and a single settee. Two large cabin windows (midport and starboard) plus two overhead hatches provide excellent lighting and an open atmosphere. Four steps up from the salon is a large cockpit with double helm seat plus additional seating to accommodate a robust crowd. If serious fishing is the objective, the transom bench seat is removable, completely opening up the aft cockpit. A transom door allows for easy boarding and carrying on gear. Generous walkways and high bow rails add to safety when moving from stern to bow. The forward bow deck has two large sun pads for your guests to enjoy.
