This proven hull design was reconfigured to accommodate the new Volvo Penta IPS drives with counter rotating propellers andjoystick control. Other changes are a new amidships master stateroom with a king size walk-around bed and a full height door from the helm to the side deck. The master also features an ensuite head and (2) large hanging lockers. The exterior can either be finished in a traditional style with varnished toe rail and hand rails or in a southern climate version version with no varnish. Another interesting layout change with the IPS drives is a large mechanical room forward of the engine room for water makers tool boxes spare parts or even luggage. The operater has a choice of using wheal and single lever engine controls or the single IPS joystick for off the dock maneuvering. The galley takes up half of the starboard side in the accommodation area and everything is below the counter including twinsubzero refrigerators/freezers with (4) drawers. There is also a queen size VIP stateroom in the bow and a bunk bed cabin to port which shares a head with the VIP.Aft of the helm on the main deck (starboard side) is the galley and entertainment center. Opposite on the port side is an L-shaped settee with a combination storage trunk/coffee table. The salon opens up to a large aft deck that is almost completely covered by the overhead. There are seating areas to port and starboard and a rear seat with a table. There is easy access to the swim platform through a gate opening on the starboard side.A Modern Classic - the Vicem54 Motor Yacht is handcrafted from the finest materials available to be the best in its class and size range. This yacht has a handsome classic look and provides a quiet dry ride because of Vicems superior design and construction technique.Vicem Yachts are constructed of African and South American Mahogany and Epoxy resin. Mahogany is a renewable resource reducing our carbon footprint. Also noteworthy is the fact that Vicem Yachts are constructed in clean factories without the smell of styrene emissions found in polyester fiberglass factories. Vicem employs very few minimum skilled workers; every boat builder is a qualified carpenter who performs at different levels depending on the difficulty of the task. All wood on a Vicem hull and the keel chine sheer frames and beams are coated with epoxy resin serving as a moisture barrier. The exterior of the hull and interior of the entire bilge and engine room area is further coated with a layer of E-glass cloth and epoxy resin that is finished with epoxy fairing compounds epoxy primers and poly-urethane paint. Over 100 Vicem Yachts up to 92 feet have been built using this time-proven blend of modern and traditional constructions methods.
