Walkthrough
The Carver 530's three Stateroom Cherry wood interior is arranged with the galley in the salon in typical pilothouse fashion. The full beam owners suite is amidships and the salon has close to 7 feet of headroom. Forward the dinette/ pilothouse has a wraparound helm with a tilt back swivel seat direct bridge access andexcellent visibility. Additional features include cockpit access to the engine room a spacious bridge with a hidden davit sea chest to reduce thru hull openings and side exhaust.

Fly Bridge
There have been many upgrades to the Flybridge. The stereo was upgraded to a water resistant Clarion XMD3-RET AM/FM Stereo/CD player.The factory helm seat was removed and replaced with a fully adjustable Pompanette Platinum Series Helm seat. Yacht Controller system with Remote wireless control of both engines and bow thruster from any location on the boat was added.In addition it has a Custom Full Bridge Hardtop w/full Strataglass' enclosure with multiple U-Zips' for ventilation. Top was engineered to extend out on both the front and sides for additional sun protection. Halogen lights were installed on the bottom side for bridge lighting including one Red/Night' navigation light at the helm. Once this was completed the owner had a forced air ventilation system installed on the bridge to keep air moving to decrease the possibility of mildew growth when sitting.A second remote controlled spotlight was mounted on the hardtop for 360' degree illumination. At the same time the Air horns were moved to the hardtop to prevent water intrusion.All plastic deck fittings vents and covers were replaced with Stainless Steel ones including the sun lounge tracks. Pilothouse
The Pilothouse Auto Pilot that was included in the factory package has been upgraded to a RayMarine 650 Raypilot with the new G4 core pack Smart Pilot system which has a built in Rate Gyro Compass for improved performance through Raymarine's AST (Advanced Steering Technology). The fine-tuning control is incredible. At the same time a RayMarine ST6001+ Auto Pilot control head as well as the ST600R hand held remote to the upper helm was added.A RayMarine RL80CRC Color 72 Mile Radar/GPS/Plotter Plotter replaced the black and white unit included in the factory package. At the same time a repeater unit was added to the Upper helm station. A RayMarine RayNav 300 SDGPS with the W.A.A.S system was added to the Pilothouse helm's overhead console. This system leads to precision accuracy with-in 10ft. Deck
Owner had a Heavy Duty anchor davit built after the factory installed davit failed in a storm-anchoring situation.Every single piece of exterior hardware and their mounting screw has been removed and re-bedded to prevent possible water intrusion.Pilot House windshield as well as all side windows have been removed and re-bedded. At this time all side windows as well as the rear sliding doors were treated with upgraded MB Tint to further protect from heat and UV Ray intrusion. This also acts as insulation and makes the AC units work much better. All non-skid surfaces as well as the complete cockpit area have been painted with Awlgrip that matches the factory gelcoat coloring perfectly. This was done to make maintenance and clean up a breeze and to prevent future yellowing of the non-skid areas. At the same time they painted the engine room air vents from the factory black to matching Awlgrip white also to prevent future fading and discoloring.After delivery the owner ordered from Carver Yachts and had installed a "Captains Box" storage and cockpit-seating chest. This increases the exterior seating as well as storage for maintenance and cleaning supplies. At that time they also installed a wash down system within the confines of the cockpit.2002 Rendova 11' Unsinkable HB CC Tender W/25HP 4-stroke Yamaha w/cover and sling Marquipt Low Boy Davit. Mechanical
Heavy-duty power steering system has been added to the factory's hydraulic system. This includes a high capacity pump increased hose sizes and much larger steering ram. To compliment this system the owner spoke directly to the engineers at Bennett to purchase and install larger trim tabs with dual rams. He also had them install their Auto Trim Control system and trim tab indicators. This overall combination has lead to a vessel that responds and behaves to steering commands at an unbelievable level of accuracy at slow speed.Main battery charger was replaced with an upgraded Sentry 60amp system.Fresh water wash down system added to engine room. There is also one in the cockpit and at the anchor davit. Bilge Buster bilge odor control system installed.Engine coolant recovery systems for both engines were upgraded to Volvo Pressurized systems which re-circulate any overflow back into the engines coolant system.Hi-Flow fans were installed in the engine room (3) and machinery room (1) along with multiple fluorescent light fixtures in both areas to increase lighting.All stainless steel elbows and exhaust tubing from the turbos back to the main exhaust pipes have been wrapped and bonded for both heat and noise insulation.Engine and Machinery room bilges and bulkheads have been re-painted with Interlux BilgeKote semi-gloss which helps prevent absorption of oil gasoline or sludge into wood and fiberglass.The 13.5KW Kohler Generator has its own sound shield and has only 626 actual hours. The exhaust system has been upgraded to a better quality hose and has been re-routed to a new exhaust port which now exits behind the swim platform. This resulted in not only a safer system but also a much quieter one. There has also been a separate Fire Suppression System installed in the Machinery room for added security.In 2001 they installed an 850GPD Water Makers Inc Watermaker (the best available) with Auto rinse. Besides the main control panel located in the companionway between the Machinery room and Engine room there is a second remote start panel under the galley sink. At this location you will also find a separate faucet that allows for the filling of drinking water bottles directly from the Watermaker giving you the best water you can get.A Stainless Steel full ship's water system UV purification system was installed. By use of UV rays all microbes and bacteria are removed from the fresh water before it enters the pump.Installation of 3 Rule 3750GPH bilge pumps to the Machinery room bilges in addition to the factory installed pumps.Fuel System upgrades are most impressive. The Racor Filters that were factory installed were replaced by a twin Racors 1000 for each engine. Walker FuelSeps Volvo Fuel Decontaminator and a RCI On board Fuel Polishing system with re-circulating pumps which allows for the polishing/purification of your fuel while at the dock without engines running were also added.The new Series K FloScan fuel monitoring systems with monitors on the Bridge were also installed.Volvo Penta QL EDC Monitors installed at the upper helm.Volvo air filters were removed and Walker AirSeps were installed for better air filtration. AC units underwent a condensation drain pan upgrade that prevents water from flowing to the bilges and causing both stains and odors. The AC raw water pump has also been upgraded and increased in size to a Flotech unit for better and increased circulation. Along with the hoses were upgraded and a fresh water rinse system installed.

The full superstructure including the sidewalls of the salon pilothouse and flybridge have been completely insulated in all areas that afforded accessibility.All voids and empty spaces beneath the waterline as well as the hull sides have been filled with marine foam including the hollow fiberglass stringers. This includes the engine room machinery room Master Stateroom and areas in the forward bow's VIP Stateroom. This was done to stiffen the hull add flotation and sound insulation. All cabinets and furniture units in the Salon have been secured to the floor by custom stainless L-brackets.Both the Love Seat and Salon Settee have been converted to under seat storage. This is something that I have been asking the factory to do for years. The original carpeting was removed and industrial lead based padding was added and new Berber commercial carpeting was installed. Once again adding further to insulating the salon from the heat and noise from the engine room. The padding was only added to the Salon floor but the carpeting was done throughout the boat. This in itself lowered the sound decibels by 50 points.All flush mounted halogen-ceiling lights throughout the boat have been replaced & upgraded. Tainbridge High Performance Props and Nibral spares store in machinery room. Both sets of props have been rated balanced and trued by Precision Prop. Spare Shaft.Dripless Shaft Logs with spare seals installed on shafts. The owner also had a shaft grounding system installer.
Tender
In 2002 a new 11' Rendova hard bottom center console tender with a 4-stroke Yamaha was purchased and mounted on the boat deck. At the same time a stainless steel deck support from the bottom side of the boat deck to the cockpit sole to increase weight capacity and integrity in rough seas.
