Additional Equipment:
Although built in 1979, one is hard-pressed to find flaws in the Contessa. Very well maintained inside and out. This rep inspected and photographed her on July 3rd, 2015 and detected average wear and tear in the salon cushions. The Teak is smooth and shiny, the floors solid.
Among the many upgrades that make the Contessa one-of-a-kind...........
- Bottom stripped, faired and epoxy barrier coat applied for easy maintenance (2014).
- Low Yanmar Hours (unknown)
- Fully Battened Main with Dutchman flaking system and sail-cover, all in excellent shape.
- The added roller furling jib, mid-deck additional hatch for more ventilation in cabin is tight
- Replaced forward hatch with Lewmar hatch, which is tight.
- Propane Tank hooked up but never used
- New Lavac head with holding tank
- Rewired new electrical panel
Also.......
Topsides were redone a few years ago.
The Standing Rigging is 20 years old, the Running Rigging is 10 years old.
Her last haul-out was fall when the upgraded bottom work was completed.
A survey dated 20 May, 1997 is available upon showing. It demonstrates her condition shortly after the seller purchased her with all of his upgrades to follow, including the Yanmar. Her condition today is almost identical to that May date in 1997, of course, add the upgrades since.
As can be seen in the pictures, this vessel is stored inside in a heated garage.
Regarding images....images [removed phone] were provided by seller to compare and demonstrate ongoing excellent condition of vessel. Images [removed phone] came directly from the original Contessa brochure published and printed in 1979.
Thank you!
