Features and OptionsOVERVIEW:
The Roamer Boat Company (RBC) was founded in Holland, Michigan by Robert R. Lynn just after World War II. The first Roamer, a 32' steel-hulled express cruiser, was built in 1946. In addition to pleasure craft, the RBC built commercial craft and a harbor tug for the military during the years that Lynn owned the company. Ten years later RBC was owned by Chris Craft Corporation. RBC was redesignated Roamer Steel Boats Division (RSBD), and the legacy began. Over the next two decades, Chris Craft launched dozens of new Roamer models in sizes ranging from 25' to an eventual 73' motor yacht rounding out the fleet. Some models were even available with turbine power. RSBD began producing their first aluminum boats in [removed phone]. Because of aluminum's advantages over steel, RSBD focused on aluminum Roamer production as they moved into the larger yacht market. The 57' motor yacht came in both steel and aluminum, with aluminum adding 15% to the purchase price. Sadly, in July 1979, the era came to an end as Roamer production was halted. To this day Roamers are sought after by discerning buyers, and they can be found in the most upscale marinas. SOVEREIGN is a stunning example of these legendary yachts.
