(LOCATION: Clearwater FL) The Cary 50 Express is a big express with a blend of sleek styling exciting performance and upscale accommodations. This Cary 50 was originally powered by four 502 engines with outdrives. The plan was to convert to diesel with surface drives. Not all plans reach their proper conclusion so this boat sits minus engines. On deck we have a long lean foredeck with large cockpit finished in fresh Awlgrip. Additions include all new Euro hard top with blue glass windshield Euro hatches Euro air induction Euro air exhaust Euro dash Euro engine hatch and swim platform. The dirty work has been done old mechanicals removed and engine bay prepped for upgrades. The engine room has fresh foam core and white Awlgrip. A 500-gallon fuel tank is in place with room for a second tank. Surface drives are available separately. Below we have an interior with tons of room. This is one of the reasons to build a 50-foot express. You step down into an open salon with large L-shaped settee to starboard. Port side is a custom cabinet with storage compartments and a 1000 lb. fish box. Salon electronics feature a Misubishi TV with VHS Denon AM/FM stereo amp and cassette deck and Polk speakers. Moving forward the galley is to port with wraparound solid surface countertop with stainless steel sink. There are upper & lower cabinets GE refrigerator and GE microwave oven. Opposite the galley is an enclosed fiberglass-lined head compartment with toilet mirrored vanity and shower stall. All the way forward is a large v-berth with mirrored bulkheads and under-berth storage. You have the room of a vacation condo and can take it anywhere. Sure there's work to be done but a large investment in time and money has brought her to this point. 1988 is a prime year for Cary so you are getting a top quality build for a fraction of the invested cost.
