Accommodations
Grand Banks 42 Classics are famous for their beautiful and well made teak interiors. Large opening windows give air and light throughout the boat and result in a living environment that has a feeling of warmth and relaxed comfort. This vessel features a 3 cabin layout with spacious v-berth full hanging closet and full head with shower. Clothing storage is found in 6 teak drawers and large item storage bin under v-berth. Separate air conditioning/heating controls/vents for v-berth. Berth lights. V-berth can be separated from the main salon by a teak door and sliding hatch. Up three steps from the v-berth is the salon galley and the interior cabin helm with all navigational electronics including radar and automatic pilot. The large (15'x9' approximately) airy center cabin houses the lower steering station in-line galley L-shaped settee drop leaf dining table folding "director" chairs entertainment console and console with ice maker and SSB radio. There are 24 drawers and lockers for storage. Overhead are teak grab rails and fishing pole holders stereo speakers overhead and bulkhead lighting. Down 3 steps from the main salon is the owner's cabin aft. This large cabin includes a full-size double berth to starboard and a wide single berth to port. The owner's cabin has a deep lighted hanging closet and full head with walk-in shower. Between the 2 berths is a large vanity with seat over teak drawers for storage. Expansive storage is provided by 9 teak drawers shelves and sliding front lockers; as well as large storage under the berths. The aft cabin has its own air conditioning/heating controls and vents. Sliding windows and an opening aft hatch over the lifting teak ladder provide fresh air ventilation.

Electrical System
The Vanner 3600watt inverter system with a second alternator on the starboard engine provides the necessary AC power underway for all appliances except the air conditioning and range. The six deep cycle batteries with about 600 AH capacity will operate the refrigeration overnite while at anchor. The generator is used the following morning to recharge these batteries. The boat has 4 separate 12volt battery systems. Each engine has its own 8D battery. Engine /Mechanical Equipment
The main engines were rebuilt by factory trained mechanics in 2006 and are routinely maintained according to the service manual. All injectors were replaced at the time of rebuild. The transmissions and drive shafts were updated with Twin Disc MG-5010's and stainless steel 1-1/2" shafts. Hull & Topsides
Fiberglass construction is used throughout with teak trim hand rails and decks. The bottom was sanded primed and painted with 3 coats of Micron Interlux CSC in May of 2008. The aluminum mast boom and tackle are used to launch the 10'3" Severn inflatable dinghy. A 12V battery operated wench is used to operate the boom and lifting tackle. Overall height to the top of the mast is approximately 24 feet from the waterline.
