1965 32' PEARSON Vanguard

This Pearson Vanguard 32 Sloop located in Bridgeport, CT is a true classic, featuring long overhangs and a beautiful shear. Designed by the great Philip Rhodes, this is one of 404 Vanguards built between 1963 and 1967 about 399 are still sailing today. One of the early production fiberglass boats, Vanguards were hand laid and completely bonded during construction for exceptional strength solid glass, no balsa core these boats were built to last!
This boat is comfortable enough to easily cruise a couple or young family up the coast, seaworthy enough to sail around the world, and easy to sail singlehanded. Under sail, this boat tracks far better than modern fin-keel craft, yet its responsive. The Vanguard has a rare combination of big-boat heft and small-boat response, and is well-mannered offshore in big waves as well as in choppy bays.
The original Atomic-4 was replaced with a Yanmar Diesel and Harken roller furling has been added. The GPS and Radar displays are mounted on hinged platforms that allow them to be seen from either belowdecks or the helm. Wiring has been upgraded.
Over 6-1/2 foot headroom, galley with 2-burner stove, sink & icebox, fold-down table and 3 berths in the main salon, head with folding sink, hanging locker, v-berth and plenty of storage throughout.
This is a truly special boat with classic lines and superior construction that makes its age irrelevant.
